Is the 125-week Extended Warranty available on all Miele appliances?

The 125-week Extended Warranty is available on selected products to celebrate the 125-year Miele anniversary. Please check out the details on the selected models here.

Is the 125-week Extended Warranty only provided on appliances directly purchased at Miele? Or does it also apply to appliances purchased from a retailer?

How can I check if my appliance is eligible for the 125-week Extended Warranty?

All appliances that show the product designation “125 Edition” are eligible for the 125-week Extended Warranty. Please check out the details on the selected models here.

How long is the 125-week Extended Warranty available?

The 125-week Extended Warranty is part of the 125-year Miele anniversary offer. It is available throughout the whole campaign period.

I have purchased my appliance before the promotion was announced but haven’t received it yet. Is it eligible for the 125-week Extended Warranty?

The 125-week Extended Warranty is available only on selected products that have been purchased within the campaign period. It will not apply on any purchases prior to the start date of the campaign and activation of the warranty will not be possible via the Miele App*. 

Warranty Activation

How can I activate the 125-week Extended Warranty for my appliance?

Please ensure that your appliance is eligible for the 125-week Extended Warranty. To activate the 125-week Extended Warranty you need to connect your appliance to the Miele App*. For vacuum cleaners and KWT 7112 iG obsw it is sufficient to register the product in the Miele App*. ​Please scan the QR-code to download or open the Miele App*. Follow the instructions within the Miele App* to add your new Miele appliance. You will automatically be prompted to activate your 125-week Extended Warranty subsequently.

If I have a qualifying appliance, but have clicked away the prompt for activation or have not seen it - how can I still activate my warranty?

If the automatic prompt to activate the Extended Warranty has already appeared in the Miele App* and was dismissed, the warranty can be activated via the warranty overview page. To display the warranty overview page, please tap the “Profile” button. If the appliance is eligible for the 125-week warranty, the warranty can be activated here.

Can I also activate the 125-week Extended Warranty online?

It is not possible to redeem the 125-week Extended Warranty via the Miele website. Please activate the warranty via the Miele App*.

When can I activate the 125-week Extended Warranty for my appliance?

The warranty should be activated via the Miele App* within 30 days after appliance purchase. Activation will remain possible via the Miele App* throughout the campaign period.  

If the appliance is delivered after the end of the campaign period, please reach out to the Contact Center for support.

Which information do I need to redeem the 125-week Extended Warranty?

To successfully connect the appliance to the Miele App*, you will be asked to enter the appliance purchase date and the serial number. In many cases, the Miele App* can automatically detect your serial number during the process. If you need to manually enter the number, follow the guides inside the app or use the data plate finder to easily locate your serial number on your appliance.​

Do I receive a confirmation that the activation was successful?

Directly after completion of the warranty activation, the warranty status in the Miele App* will be updated and show your prolonged warranty. Furthermore, a certificate with your appliance and warranty details will be sent to you via email.

Pairing or Appliance Registration via Miele App*

How do I connect my appliance to the Miele App*?

Please download the Miele App* from the App Store or Google Play Store. Open the app and follow the instructions to add your appliance. For a step-by-step instruction of the pairing process, please also check our pairing videos.

Why do I need to connect my appliance to the Miele App* to redeem the 125-week Extended Warranty

Appliances that are eligible for the 125-week Extended Warranty are automatically recognised by the Miele App*. The activation of the 125-week Extended Warranty is a very quick and easy process. It also enables you to display the warranty status of your appliance at any time, subsequent to the activation.

If I cannot connect my Miele vacuum cleaner and KWT 7112 iG obsw to the Miele App*, how can I activate my warranty?

To activate your 125-week Extended Warranty, please download the Miele App* and register your vacuum cleaner/ KWT 7112 iG obsw. You will automatically be prompted to activate your 125-week Extended Warranty subsequently.

I cannot connect my appliance to the Miele App* due to lack of network. How can I activate my warranty?

In case of connectivity problems, you can activate the 125-week Extended Warranty simply by registering your appliance in the Miele App*. You will automatically be prompted to activate your 125-week Extended Warranty subsequent to the registration.

I am asked to enter the serial number within the app but cannot find my data plate with the serial number. How can I connect my appliance with the Miele App* without my serial number?

You can easily locate your serial number by using the data plate finder. Without a serial number you cannot activate the warranty for your appliance. Please get in touch with our Contact Center team for support.

Repair Coverage

What is the total warranty period of my 125 Gala Edition appliance?

The additional warranty starts directly subsequent to the 2-year Miele warranty, extending it by a further 125 weeks. The total warranty period amounts to 4 years and almost 5 months.

My appliance is eligible for an additional 125-week Extended Warranty. Can I also extend that cover to a longer period?

Yes, you can extend your additional 125-week Extended Warranty to a total of 10 years for a one-off fee. Please get in touch with our Miele Contact Center.

What are the major advantages of the 125-week Extended Warranty?

The most important benefits of the Extended Warranty are as follows:

  • Maximum security: During the extended warranty period, there will be no repair charges for faults, unless caused by wrongful intent or gross negligence. The Extended Warranty covers all labour and call out charges as well as spare parts costs.
  • New for old replacement: You will receive a new appliance, if we cannot repair yours.
  • Reliable and fast: If the need for repair arises, our highly skilled service technicians will provide fast and reliable assistance.
What is covered by the Extended Warranty?

The Extended Warranty is a full repair cover and includes all labour and call out charges as well as spare parts costs, unless caused by wrongful intent or gross negligence. Terms and conditions apply.

What is not covered by an Extended Warranty?

The Extended Warranty does not cover:

- Faults due to improper installation  
- Damages linked to an intervention not conducted by Miele or an authorised Miele Service Partner 
- Consumables / accessories, for example: detergent, activated carbon filter, water filter 
- Defect causes outside of the device (external factors such as damage caused through transportation, impact and jolting, or natural phenomena) 
- Improper use and operation, such as the use of unsuitable detergents or chemicals as well as damage caused by the intake of fluids, construction dust or toner 
- Usage-related and natural wear and tear, such as the decreasing load performance of accumulators and components that, according to the operating instructions, must be replaced regularly during the product life cycle.

Can I transfer the 125-week Extended Warranty to a new owner or another appliance?

The 125-week Extended Warranty cannot be transferred to other appliances. If the appliance ownership changes, the Extended Warranty can be assigned to the new owner. Please contact Miele to validate the new owner.

Does the Extended Warranty also cover a service from a service partner?

Miele strives to offer a prompt service in the event of a breakdown. Under the Extended Warranty Miele Customer Service or an authorised Service Partner will support you. Terms and conditions apply.  

Repairs conducted by unauthorised service staff will not be covered by Miele.

What happens if the appliance cannot be repaired anymore?

If the machine is beyond economic repair or if repair is impossible, you will be provided with an identical or equivalent new machine.  

With a replacement machine, communication (connectivity) with other machines and the existing domestic system cannot be guaranteed. If the machine is replaced, the remaining period of cover provided by the policy document is transferred to the new unit.  

Alternatively, if requested, the appropriate current market value of the machine may be reimbursed. If the current market value of the appliance is reimbursed by Miele, the extended warranty policy becomes invalid.
