With the help of the following notes, minor faults in the performance of the appliance, some of which may result from incorrect operation, can be put right without contacting the Service Department. The following guide lists minor problems and possible causes and provides notes on remedy. If you cannot find an appropriate solution for your problem, please contact our Service Department.

PLEASE NOTE: Repair work to electrical appliances should only be carried out by a suitably qualified person in accordance with local and national safety regulations. Repairs and other work by unqualified persons could be dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for unauthorised work.

The two front rings and/or the oven do not heat up

Check whether the timer has been inadvertently changed from "Manual" to "Automatic" operation. The timer can be changed by following the operating instructions.

"Demo mode switched on" appears in the display

Instructions on deactivating the demo mode are given in the operating instructions.

"O-o" (key symbol) appears in the display, the oven cannot be switched on

A number of Miele ovens have a system lock as a child-safety feature. Check whether this lock is activated. Information on activation and deactivation is given in the operating instructions.

The hob cannot be switched on

Check whether the child-safety function is activated. This can be deactivated by following the operating instructions.

Problems with baking and cleaning

In the event of problems, please contact our Customer Service.

Uneven browning while using fan heat programmes

Please check if the grease filter is still used and remove it if necessary.

The operation menu is displayed in another language

Miele appliances offer a lot of languages that can be chosen in the menu settings. For all texts shown in the display the language can be selected. If you have selected the wrong language by mistake it is still possible to select the proper one. Just follow the flag symbol to get yourself back to the "Language" sub-menu.
